It's been 24 hours since the Superbowl and I've had it with the negativity about the Superbowl halftime show: they were too sexy...danced like strippers...all during what's supposed to be a "family friendly" event.

So today during business coaching this question came up - is email marketing old school?
The not-so-simple answer? Maybe.
Because yes, in one way, email marketing doesn't have the same return and flash that it once did. EVERYONE sends emails these days. I just took a look in my Promotions folder and right now I have messages from AAA, Groupon, Hulu and Domino's (don't judge). I get at least 100 messages dumped into that folder each day. And how many do I open? Less than 10%.
